Time
by  Aubrey Morman

Yesterday.  Why do I think of yesterday?
Yesterday is gone and tomorrow is not here.
What is time, I might say?
Not a day, nor a month, not even a year.

But I say, there are so many memories,
And I think, why live in the past?
If not in the past, maybe in the future there is,
But there is no future, for time does not last.

Time?  There is no time, not even tomorrow,
For if we tried, we could not beg or even borrow
Another breath, only the one we have now,
Is all the time there is and I am made to bow.

But there is something, and that is life,
It is not perfect, there may even be strife.
Though life is what we make it to be,
The good in it we cannot always see.

But there is some good in everyone,
Only for sin did God send His Son.
He sent His Son and that is in the past,
But it is not time, only eternity will last.

So, time is an expression of part of eternity,
Although we have life now, our Soul will always be.
Then how we live our life will tell the story,
Whether in eternity our Soul is in Glory.
